Peerfest18 is also hosting a free evening of musical entertainment and fun; a chance to socialise and connect with others who have an interest in mental health and peer support.

We will be providing a free shuttle bus between Purfleet rail station and the venue.

• Drama: express yourself using drama and the creative arts in this fun and interactive workshop• Flourish: positive psychology to maintain your mental wellbeing• Mindfulness: experience a mindfulness practice and learn to focus your attention on the present moment • Peer Support: learn strategies to engage with others • Singing workshop: enjoy an informal sing-along together, just bring enthusiasm • Yoga for Beginners: bringing together physical and mental disciplines to achieve a peaceful body and mind • Share your Story Safely: how to remain safe and well and what we need to consider when sharing our mental health experience with others• Challenging Perceptions: an opportunity to explore the differences and similarities between us • How to set up a Peer Group: what to consider when starting up a peer support group • Be Prepared for Appointments: get tips on how to express yourself and prepare for an appointment (e.g. doctors or benefits assessment) • Young People in a Changing World: what issues are young people facing in our world today?• Peer Support in the Criminal Justice System: Consider the value peer support can bring to people experiencing multiple disadvantages in the criminal justice system
